Kitchens
Sets and islands built to your exact kitchen measurements, no off-the-shelf modules.
Custom furniture manufacturing in Almaty
No catalogue templates: a measurer visits your site, and one crew carries a project from sketch to the final hardware installation.

Workshop history
Forma Woodworks started in 2015 in a garage on Momyshuly Street, with one milling machine and a contract for three kitchens. We deliberately never take on more projects than one crew can carry from sketch to the last hinge — so in ten years we grew a team of craftsmen, not a conveyor belt.
Workshop atmosphere
The day starts with a large sheet of plywood, continues at the milling machine, and ends in a room with oil and colour samples — three moments from one day at the workshop.

Production lines
We don't run economy furniture on a conveyor belt — every category below is built by the same crew that carries the project from measuring to installation.
Sets and islands built to your exact kitchen measurements, no off-the-shelf modules.
Built-in sliding wardrobes and turnkey walk-in closets.
Dining and coffee tables in solid wood with an exposed edge.
Retail shelving, islands, and POS furniture for shops and showrooms.
In short
860+piecesThat's how many pieces of furniture we've delivered to clients since 2015 — every one with a craftsman's name on the order card.

How it works
Four clear steps — no hidden fees, no surprises at installation.
Leave a request on the site or call — we call back within the day to clarify the scope.
A measurer visits the site and a designer builds a 3D render with exact sizes and materials.
Cutting, frame assembly, hand finishing, and painting — all in our own workshop, no subcontractors.
We deliver, assemble on site, and show how to care for the hardware and finish.
Packages
A package doesn't change the frame price per running metre — it changes the fronts, hardware, and countertop. We confirm the final quote after measuring.
Enamel-finished laminated fronts and standard Blum hardware.
Enamel-finished MDF with soft-close on every front.
Solid wood fronts with built-in appliances.
Prices are for a finished running metre of the set, excluding built-in appliances.

The check
Bekzat Nurlanov runs a finger along every hand-cut joint before it goes into assembly — if he feels even half a millimetre of play, the part goes back to the workbench, even if that pushes shipping back a day. A client never sees this moment in a photo of the finished piece, but it's the one that decides whether a drawer is still tight after five years of daily use.
Meet the craftsmenReviews
We ordered a kitchen island for an apartment on Rozybakiyev — I sent a Pinterest photo of an island and got back a drawing with my actual kitchen dimensions within three days. No seam is visible, even though the countertop is almost four metres long.
The wardrobe took a month and a half — long, because I asked to change the rail height for my coats after the project was already approved, and they recalculated the layout at no extra charge.
I ordered a walnut dining table for ten people for a dacha in Talgar — I worried about delivery on a gravel road, but they brought it and assembled it in one day, and the edge hasn't cracked in two seasons.
We ordered retail shelving for a showroom on Satpayev built around one clothing brand — the shelf sizes matched the mannequins on the first try, even though we changed the sketch three times along the way.
Guarantees
We name the real service life of every material already at the consultation — not only when signing the contract.
Original mechanisms with a factory warranty, not unbranded copies.
Under normal use, cracks and delamination are fixed free of charge.
Solid wood is conditioned in the workshop to the right moisture level before cutting, to prevent warping.
The amount after measuring never changes during production — there are no "material" surcharges.

On average 15–25 days for production plus 3–5 days for measuring and project approval. Complex shapes and solid wood sometimes take longer — we confirm the exact timeline after measuring.
Yes, a measurer visits the site and records every wall and utility deviation — the project is built for your specific room, not squeezed into a standard module.
We work with laminated chipboard, enamel-finished MDF, and solid wood. At the consultation we show samples and pick a material for your budget and the piece's purpose.
Yes, 24 months on hardware and the frame, 12 months on the finish. With normal use problems rarely come up, but we stay reachable if anything needs adjusting.
You pay 50% upfront once the project is approved, and the balance after installation and your acceptance of the finished furniture.
Yes, we deliver across the region and to neighbouring areas — cost and timing are confirmed when we calculate the quote.
Of course, at the workshop showroom you can touch the materials and hardware and see finished pieces — come by appointment.
